This book is not intended for those easily offended or appalled. It contains scenes of graphic violence, including violence towards children. This book is about abuse - emotional, physical, and mental. It contains an explicit sex scene as well as sexual abuse. The quality of the writing and the “real-ization” of the characters lift Jon Athan’s books far above the merely sensationalistic. Readers love him or hate him. You?
