A wonderfully brilliant mix of pop-culture fun and quality adventure
This book has so many fun homages to sci-if and pop culture tropes that it could have fallen into parody...but it doesn't. I congratulate Boyle on giving us light-hearted fun, but with a truly great adventure in the process. That is a hard combination to manage! I thought the epilogue a bit long, but I have to say she did a great job of bringing the story to a great conclusion, while leaving the door open to further adventures. I have zero tolerance for authors who don't bring their stories to a conclusion because they want to sell the next installment. Boyle gave us a great ending here, while leaving us interested in what might happen next. She gave us identifiable and interesting personalities with all the right tensions between them. I am intrigued to explore everything else she has written.~ Amazon Review
