A grisly accident in the cold waters of San Francisco Bay shocks the nearby community. An athlete out on a training swim, is run over by his support boat mid-stroke and killed immediately. The remains of the man surrounded by pale blood drifts toward the Pacific Ocean. Consumed with grief and anger, the swimmer’s son refuses to believe the death was an accident and calls on amateur sleuth Trisha Carson to hunt down the killer.
As she digs into the man’s past, she locates more than one person who had reason to seek a deadly revenge.
