Georgie has brought up Huw all by herself. She has nurtured him, loved him, cried with him, and spent sleepless nights worrying about him.
Life was tough when Huw was little: Money was tight; Huw asked constantly about his father; and Georgie was desperately lonely. But now things are looking up. Georgie's got a new boyfriend - a handsome doctor - and her work as a stylist is taking off. Huw is doing well in school and doesn't mention his father. Georgie has never been happier.
Then, one day, out of the blue, 10 years after he left, Huw's father, David, turns up. He wants his son and will stop at nothing to get him. Will everything that she has built be torn apart by the arrival of this man? A man who wants her son to call him "dad"?
