After one of their number is killed for the first time in recorded history, the entire divine world unites to eliminate the murderer, our hero, Lacerto. To survive the oncoming storm of several pantheons of angry gods, he must gain powerful allies with a grudge against the gods. Fortunately, after millennia of abuse, many, many, many deadly monsters are chomping at the bit to strike back at their oppressors, with a weapon that can finally hurt them. But are Lacerto's allies more dangerous than his enemies? And can he stop the machinations of the goddess of war as she uses the chaos he caused to bring about the end times?
